Birthday, Easter and Milestones

On April 8th, I turned 31 years old. Thank you everyone for the nice birthday wishes and gifts.

2009-04-12 06.05.26.jpgWe had a great Easter long weekend with family. On Friday, we decorated Easter eggs and went out for lunch. Saturday, we baked and decorated Easter cookies. On Sunday, we had an Easter egg hunt and an Easter dinner with my great-Aunt Margret and Christina’s sister Amy. Natalie really enjoyed hunting for all the eggs and treats, and especially enjoyed eating them. It was nice extended break to spend time with family and get outside.

The last week or so has been quite exciting around our house. Jasmine has started to crawl! She was crawling backwards, sliding and rolling before now, but she finally started to crawl “properly” a few days ago, and is doing it all the time now. Amazing. AND if that wasn’t enough already, she is finally sleeping through the night. Needless to say we’re very happy about that one.

Jasmine isn’t the only one reaching exciting milestones. Natalie has started to be potty trained overnight. She is still wearing pull-ups to bed, but she has gone through the night successfully for most of the week. We’re so proud of her. While it’s a little early to declare her “out of diapers” completely, I think we’re pretty much there. Yeah!

Wow, she really wants that Dora cup. Thanks for sharing that video. I remember waiting for David to crawl… time goes by so fast. Glad you had a nice birthday and Easter weekend. Can’t wait for you guys to see our house. Melissa
