Family Update

Jasmine is six days old today, and so far everything is going smoothly. She is a marathon feeder with her feeds often lasting over an hour long.  A nice side-effect of of the long feeds is that she is also a great sleeper. She is starting to have more awake time too which allow us to see her beautiful eyes. So far it looks like she might have lighter eyes than Natalie, so we’re think either green or blue.  It’s still too early to tell for sure though.

She is very caring towards Jasmine, and is very helpful too.  She gives her her soother when she cries, strokes her hair, and throws away her dirty diapers.  Natalie is shaping up to be a great older sister.

It was really nice to have both of our families come out to see Jasmine and help out with the chores and caregiving. The last of the family left this week, so we are starting to get a sense of what our new family life is like. It’s hard to believe we’re a family of four now, and that we have two beautiful daughters. I’m still on vacation for another week and it has been great spending time with everyone.

I did a little photo shoot of Jasmine yesterday, and have uploaded a few photos. Enjoy.
