We got home from the hospital today and are looking forward to sleeping in our own bed. Thank you to everyone for all the lovely visits, presents, food, emails, etc. An extra big thank you to Karen, Amy and my parents for looking after Natalie while we were in the hospital. It made it so much easier to not have to worry about her while we focused on Jasmine’s birth. I’ve uploaded a few photos of Jasmine, but you can be sure that many more will follow. :)

On the weekend we went to the Vancouver Aquarium. We had a good time and to Natalie everything was either: Nemo, Dory, or a whale. Apparently Finding Nemo had a big impact on her.

On Friday we had waffles for breakfast, and Natalie set the table all by herself. It was pretty amazing to watch as she correctly distributed forks, knives, and napkins to each person’s place at the table. She’s getting to be such a big girl.

Last weekend Christina’s mom came out for a visit, and we went for a nice walk on the Stanley Park seawall. It was great weather and Natalie enjoyed being able to run lots (as usual). She also loved the popsicles we had after the walk!
My parents were also out on Saturday night to celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary at the Stevie Wonder concert. Before their concert we all went out for dinner to the Red Door It was our second time there in two weeks, and we had another tasty meal. It was great to see everyone, and as always Natalie loved having her grandparents around.
On Sunday, Christina, Lori and I took Natalie to the Maple Grove Pool in Kerrisdale. Natalie loves the water, the weather was perfect and we had a great time.
A quick Natalie update… Natalie’s vocabulary never ceases to amaze us (although her pronunciation still needs some work). :) She speaks in little sentences a lot of the time now, and loves to dance and sing along with music — especially Bobs & Lolo, Mary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid. Here favourite clothes are “pretty dresses” and her pajamas. She is very type A right now and likes things put “away” where they belong. She loves to jump, especially on the bed. Oh, and everything is hers. She is very possessive about everything right now, with “MINE” being the most frequent word out of her mouth at the moment. A close second is “MY TURN”.
