A very exciting weekend

We had a very exciting weekend full of major events for our friends. Christina’s parents also came for the weekend to help take care of Natalie as we were very busy. We were very thankful to have them here as it made everything much easier.

2008-06-15 17.10.39.jpgOn Friday, Susan & James welcomed their son, Evan James Henderson, into the world. He was born at 7:52 pm, while we were attending Karen and Michael’s wedding rehearsal dinner, after which we went to visit him. Even though he was officially 4 weeks early, he still weighed more than Natalie did full term, and is happy and healthy.

On Saturday, Karen & Michael got married! Christina was the Matron of Honour and Natalie was a flower girl in the ceremony. It was wonderful wedding, and we’re very happy for them. We’re also excited because now that they are married they have rented an apartment just down the road from us, and we will get to see them a lot more. 2008-06-14 17.29.03.jpgAs the husband of the Matron of Honour, I got to tag along performing many roles: chauffeur, and general holder-of-stuff. They had photos taken at the Lynn Canyon Headwaters and Deep Cove, both gorgeous locations. The weather was perfect for photos, and the entire wedding party looked stunning.

On Sunday, it was Father’s Day! We had a nice Father’s Day brunch in the morning with Christina’s family and went for a walk to Starbuck’s to enjoy the nice weather before her parents headed back to Kelowna. In the evening we went to Susan & James’ house for dinner and cake, and to celebrate James’ first Father’s Day as the father of two kids.

Congratulations Susan & James, and Karen & Michael, and thank you Lori & Ian for all your help.

Firefox 3 Released!

Just a little plug for my preferred web browser: Firefox.  Version 3 was released today, and is attempting to set a world record for most downloads in 24 hours. I’ve already downloaded it and am enjoying the new features.
