New Video!

Natalie has recently taken a lot of interest in what we are eating and drinking. She REALLY wanted to have some water tonight, so we let her. It was so much fun to watch we had to share.

Christmas party

2006-12-09 13.13.54
We went to my work’s Kid’s Christmas Party on Saturday and had a good time. There were crafts and gingerbread man decorating, relays and ice cream sundae making. There was even a kid-friendly buffet with pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips, and lasagna, with mulled wine and apple cider for the adults. Unfortunately Santa couldn’t make it but his head-elf came in his place and gave out presents for all the kids. Natalie got a cute stuff toy that plays Brahms lullaby. We all had fun and it made up for missing the adult one last weekend.

In other news… we decorated the house for Christmas and finally got our new coffee table and end tables for our living room. Only two weeks until Christmas eve!

4 month update

2006-12-02 09.52.53
Natalie had her 4 month doctor appointment today. She now weighs 13.5 lbs (gained 1 lb in the last month) and is 2 feet tall. She also got more immunizations done and was such a good girl.

At lot has happened in the past 1.5 months. We visited Natalie’s grandparents in Comox during the Remembrance Day long weekend. On the way back to Vancouver, we stopped in at Natalie’s great-grandparents in Qualicum. Natalie also got to meet her great-auntie Heather who was visiting in Qualicum. Immediately after we got back Christina and Natalie flew to Kelowna to visit her other grandparents, uncle Scot, great-grandparents, and great-uncle Colin. Lots of family visiting. It was Natalie’s first plane ride and she slept the whole way through it.

This week we attempted to go to my work Christmas party, but due to a Canucks game the excess traffic meant there was no parking anywhere downtown. Since our neighbours Keith and Amanda were already graciously babysitting Natalie, we decided to make the best of a bad situation and went out for dinner at Earls instead. We had a nice evening together and enjoyed our first date alone since she was born.
