We’re sorry that we’ve not been great at responding to people’s emails these days, but little Natalie has been keeping us busy.
Here’s a quick re-cap of the past weeks…
Natalie was born on July 28th sharing her birthday with her Auntie Amy. She weighed in at 7lb 2oz. The labour was quick (roughly 4.5hrs) and according to Christina I was actually helpful. I can’t take all the credit though as our midwives and nurses did most of the work.
Once the labour started, I took two weeks off of work to help us adjust to being parents. During that time we had tons of visitors include my parents and Christina’s mom. We also made a trip to Kamloops and Kelowna to see Christina’s grandparents and the rest of her family. Natalie travelled very well with only a few stops each way.
It’s now two and a half weeks later and I am back at work and Natalie and Christina are enjoying their time together at home. They’re working hard on trying to get out of the house at least once a day, keeping up with housework, and taking as many naps as possible. So far, so good. Natalie is growing so quickly, but it’s not too surprising based on how much she likes to eat.
Well, that’s all for now, but I’ll post some more pictures soon. In the meantime you can check out some more at: http://tonymitchell.ca/gallery/
